Students not connecting to my account

I love using Kami while teaching virtually, but I have some students who don’t seem to be connecting automatically to my education account when I make an assignment in Canvas. (Most of these students are new to my class as of today.). The students who have connected have Edu next to Student in the top left corner. (To the right of the Kami logo.) The students with issues do not have Edu there. We first discovered this because they are unable to upload a picture of their work. There is a lock on the plus sign to add a page.

Any suggestions? I don’t even know where to look to determine if my subscription has expired. It doesn’t seem like it has because most of students can still use Kami just fine.
