Google classroom assignment?

I have a teacher who created a google doc and did NOT use create a Kami assignment, but used create assignment in her google classroom. The issue that is happening is when the students open this doc with Kami, there is not a turn in button. I thought from the Kami connect session in July that it was going to show up no matter how it was assigned. Am I wrong in thinking that??? I just want to make sure I teach her how to create assignments correctly if the turn in button will not be on the assignment without using Create Kami Assignment.

Hi there, in order to use the Grade with Kami feature on Google Classroom, your teacher does need to create a Kami assignment and make sure they have the extension installed in order to use the Grade with Kami feature! Please let me know if you have any other questions :purple_heart: - Kayla
